Titans top draft value rankings ahead of 2025 NFL draft

The 2025 NFL draft is a month away and all 32 NFL teams are going through their evaluation processes to determine which players they want to bring in. Each team has different needs and each team has different draft positions, so teams have to have a list of players they like and when they're willing to take them. Specific players may not be there when it's their turn, so there has to be a plan.

This year, the Tennessee Titans have the top overall pick in the draft, but that doesn't mean they have the best draft value. A team's draft value is dependent not just on where they pick in the draft, but includes how many picks they have. CBS Sports ranked each NFL team's draft value ahead of the 2025 draft, and while the article indicates that the value of the number one pick varies from year to year, it still carries the most weight. With the Titans' additional draft picks, they currently sit at the top of the draft value rankings.

The value of the No. 1 overall selection varies from year to year. What would it take for another team to acquire that pick in a trade? If there is a blue-chip quarterback prospect, the return could be astronomical. Is Miami quarterback Cam Ward viewed in that light by other teams? Would Tennessee just choose to take him for themselves? The Titans have two picks in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth rounds. They do not hold a third-round pick because of last year's L'Jarius Sneed trade, but the No. 1 overall selection carries a minimum value of 900 points on the scale.

Tennessee is joined in the top tier by the Cleveland Browns (1,086.83), New York Giants (958.63), New England Patriots (883.21), and Jacksonville Jaguars (840.14).

There are pretty big gaps between the teams, but the top tier houses the five teams with the top five draft picks in 2025. That's not a coincidence, it's the way the draft is supposed to work. This is how less successful teams change the tide in their favor, by bringing in youthful talent to improve their rosters.

For the Titans, they need to draft well this year, plain and simple. They have the value ability to bring in the necessary players, and now they have to execute a solid plan to get this team back to winning games.
