Last off-season, the Ravens announced they would wear their new Purple Rising helmets Thursday night, November 7, when they host the聽Cincinnati Bengals.
Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports that the NFL is updating its uniform policy to allow teams to wear throwback or alternate uniforms up to four times per season.

The first-ever alternate helmet features a metallic purple rising painted shell with gold talon lines, a gold face mask, and the front-facing Ravens logo, best known for the red eyes that adorn the player entrance tunnel at M&T Bank Stadium.
Purple Rising is just the third helmet version the Ravens have worn since the franchise's inception in 1996.
