The distraught Clemson mascot turned into a hysterical March Madness meme
Clemson entered the 2025 men's NCAA tournament as a 5-seed, but it will exit as a meme.
The team's shocking 69-67 loss to 12-seed McNeese State on Thursday afternoon in Providence knocked the Tigers out of the tournament. However, the Clemson defeat did give us a mascot reaction for the ages.
The Clemson Tiger mascot solemnly sat on the sideline and shook its head during the game's second half, signaling how disappointing it was that its team was struggling on national television.
Clemson rallied at the end to make it interesting, but McNeese State still held on for the victory.
This had to have been a bummer for the Tigers, and the mascot looked especially deflated. Hard times, indeed.
