Adrian's Jaelondra Peterson wins powerlifting state title

Last month the Adrianpowerlifting teams competed at the state meet where the Maples earned a championship and a few other top honors.

On the girls' team, Jaelondra Peterson won the state title for her 242-pound weight class with a program record 880 pounds lifted.

Lydia Saunders took third while Keira Iott was fifth and Olivia McCary placed 10th.

On the boys side, Spencer Prewo placed eighth.
