The Phoenix Suns return home to face the Houston Rockets on Sunday, March 30, at 6 p.m., before beginning a three-game road trip.
The Suns are battling for a spot in the play-in tournament with less than 10 games remaining in what has been a disappointing season. They are 0-2 this season against the Rockets, who are second in the Western Conference.
Phoenix recently won four consecutive games before losing to the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics by 30 points, 132-102, on Wednesday to end a five-game homestand.
The Suns start their three-game road trip Tuesday, April 1, against the Milwaukee Bucks in what will be Mike Budenholzer’s return game against the franchise that fired him after the 2022-23 season, which ended with eighth-seeded Miami eliminating the Bucks in the first round.
Budenholzer coached the Bucks to the 2020-21 NBA championship. Phoenix won its first matchup against Milwaukee this season, 108-106, on March 24 as Devin Booker hit the game-winner with 2.4 seconds left.
The Suns then face the Celtics in a rematch on Friday, April 4, in Boston before ending the road trip on April 6 against the New York Knicks. Phoenix lost to New York at home back in November.
The Celtics are second in the Eastern Conference to the Cleveland Cavaliers while the Knicks are third.
The Suns last missed out on the playoffs in the 2019-20 season. They have had the NBA’s toughest remaining schedule the last few weeks.
