Steph Curry leads Warriors with 23 points in return vs. Pelicans

On the way to stacking up a pair of losses, the Golden State Warriors have been missing a key piece in the rotation to start their six-game road swing. On Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans, the Warriors got some much-needed reinforcements with the return of their All-Star point guard, Steph Curry.

Prior to Friday, Curry missed two straight games with a pelvic contusion. In the third quarter against the Toronto Raptors, the veteran point guard suffered a hard fall to the ground, causing him to exit the game to the locker room. Curry was later ruled out for the remainder of the contest against the Raptors, and games against the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat with a pelvic contusion.

In his return to the court on Friday in New Orleans, Curry picked up right where he left off, fueling Golden State's offense. Curry scored a game-high 23 points on 7-of-21 shooting from the field with five made 3-pointers to go along with six assists, four rebounds and three steals in 34 minutes.

Following their 111-95 win over the Pelicans, Curry will get Saturday off before the Warriors continue their road trip with a stop in San Antonio for a contest againstthe Spurs on Sunday.
