Here’s a look at the 2024-25 Shreveport Times All-City boys basketball team selected after consultation with area coaches. The team covers schools in Caddo and Bossier parishes.
2025 Shreveport Times All-City Boys Basketball team
Player of the Year
Kerel Dean
Bossier, 6-foot-7, Sr.
Why selected:The Bearkat big man toyed with transferring schools in the offseason but stayed home and nearly lead his team to another state title. He averaged 22.7 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and 3.3 assists for coach Justin Collins.
Co-Coaches of the Year
Justin Collins, Bossier
Why selected:The veteran coach has one state crown under his belt and came within a 50-44 loss in the Non-Select Division III title tilt of a second. His Bearkats were 23-11 overall and 7-0 in District 1-4A.
Vic Morris, Calvary
Why selected: The amiable coach directed his team to the LHSAA Select Division III state championship where the Cavs came within a 59-56 loss of capturing a state title. Calvary finished 28-4 overall.
