Section 4 Basketball Coaches Association of New York award winners, all-stars announced

The Basketball Coaches Association of New York has announced Section 4 Players of the Year, Coaches of the Year and all-stars for the 2024-25 season.

Selections are based on voting from Section 4 coaches who are part of the BCANY.

Repeat Players of the Year for the girls were Elmira sophomore Mariah Matias in Class AAA and Chenango Forks junior Maggie Warpus in Class B.

Zubayr Griffin, a senior who led Binghamton to the Class AA state title, earned Player of the Year honors for the second year in a row after receiving the recognition in Class A last season while at Johnson City.
