Seahawks scheduled to meet with G Teven Jenkins
The Seattle Seahawks have a dire need along their offensive line, especially the interior. This is hardly news to anyone who watched at least one quarter of Seahawks football in the last, oh let's say, a decade. Seattle did not sign any of the top guards or centers available during the first wave of free agency, much to the dismay/frustration of the 12th Man. But that does not mean they are inactive, or not wanting to make some moves at the position.
On Friday morning it was reported the Seahawks are expected to meet with guard Teven Jenkins, one of the top remaining options in the free agency pool. Jenkins started 14 games for the Chicago Bears last year, but was replaced by Joe Thuney of the Kansas City Chiefs in a trade earlier this offseason.

Originally a second round pick by Chicago in the 2021 NFL draft, Jenkins has been with the Bears his entire career up to this point. Jenkins began his career as a tackle, but converted to guard prior to the 2023 season. Unfortunately, injuries and overall durability have been the primary concern.
Spotrac is estimating a potential contract that would pay him roughly $10 million a year.
Seattle has a need at guard, and a glaring hole, as last year's starter Laken Tomlinson signed with the Houston Texans this offseason. The Seahawks need to move quickly, or all their options are going to dry up at the position.
