Seahawks land dynamic WR in 4-round 2025 NFL mock draft
Most mock drafts have the Seattle Seahawks selecting an offensive linemen at No. 18 overall. NFL.Com's Chad Reuter recently took a different approach via his exciting four-round projection. Reuter has the Seahawks selecting Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, a widely-regarded top 10 pick.
"DK Metcalf sought and received a trade, leaving Seattle in need of a strong outside receiver like the 6-4 1/8, 219-pound McMillan," Reuter wrote. "He joins Jaxon Smith-Njigba and free-agent acquisitions Cooper Kupp and Marquez Valdes-Scantling to stretch defenses horizontally and vertically."
In his second mock of the 2025 draft -- a four-rounder! -- @chad_reuter projects three QBs will come off the board in the first seven picks. Meanwhile, a whopping 11 RBs go by the end of Round 4. Reuter makes several good points. New starting quarterback Sam Darnold is relying on Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling at wideout after parting ways with DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. McMillan would give the Seahawks a different body type from JSN and Kupp, and would appropriately replace Metcalf as the go-to boundary receiver.
In the second round, Reuter has a bombshell with the Seahawks selecting Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers. Is general manager John Schneider ready to invest a high pick in a QB after signing Darnold in free agency?
With the latter of Seattle's second-round pick, Reuter sends William & Mary offensive tackle prospect Charles Grant to the Seahawks. With oft-injured right tackle Abe Lucas entering a contract year, Grant would serve as a potential long-term solution.
In the third round, the Seahawks land Oregon tight end Terrance Ferguson and Memphis linebacker Chandler Martin. Ferguson would be a big-time weapon for Darnold in the passing game. Martin would add three-down versatility and depth at linebacker behind Ernest Jones IV and Tyrice Knight.
And finally in the fourth round, Reuter has the Seahawks selecting Boston College center Drew Kendall. Kendall would add much-needed competition to a center spot that's currently being occupied by Olu Oluwatimi.
