The "tush push" made famous by the Philadelphia Eagles has become the most controversial play in professional football. A modified quarterback sneak that resembles more of a Rugby play, the controversial topic was a button of conversation at this week's annual league ownership meetings with a potential ban of the play gaining league-wide traction due to health and safety concerns. Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald is not one of the detractors, however.
"I think it's a good play," Macdonald told reporters about the tush push. "I understand the positions people have with the health and safety of it. You never want to put your players in that type of risk. But it seems to me like there's enough plays where we feel like that isn't the case right now. So I think it's a good play and you've got to defend it, and maybe we'll execute it one day."

A permanent decision was not reached regarding the fate of the "tush push" at this week's ownership meetings. Instead, the conversation has been tabled for a later date in May where another vote will be taken. It appears the Seahawks will side with the Eagles and vote for the play to remain legal moving forward.
