Sabres Star Finishing The Season Red-Hot

The end of the season is just about here for the Buffalo Sabres, as the Atlantic Division club will not be in the playoffs for the 14th consecutive year. While this is the case, the Sabres have been playing some of their best hockey of the season, winning eight out of their last 10 games.

One specific Sabre who has been a notable reason for the Sabres' strong recent play is forward JJ Peterka. The 23-year-old winger has been excellent all season, posting 25 goals, 38 assists, and 63 points in 73 contests. However, with the regular season nearing its conclusion, he has been hitting another level offensively.

Over his last 21 games, Peterka has 10 goals and 22 points. With numbers like these, there's no question that the 2020 second-round pick has been red-hot down the stretch for the Sabres.

Peterka will now look to maintain his strong play during the Sabres' final four games of the season. It has been a great season for the youngster, and it will be intriguing to see what his numbers look like once it is officially over from here.
