Blackburn Rovers have agreed a new two-year contract with Yuri Ribeiro, with the option of a third year.
The Portuguese defender arrived on deadline day in February on a deal until the end of the season from Braga.
Ribeiro, 28, has subsequently played all nine games for Rovers, having made his debut in the FA Cup exit to Wolves.
He is the first Rovers senior player to renew his contract at Ewood Park since December 2023.
Blackburn are currently 11th in the Championship after a run of one point from a possible 18 heading into Friday's home game with Middlesbrough (20:00 BST).
