According to RG Media's Jimmy Murphy the Montreal Canadiens have signed goaltender Jacob Fowler to an entry level deal that will begin next season and he is expected to join the Laval Rocket on an Amateur Tryout (ATO).

Fowler posted a record of 25-7-2 with a dominant .940 SP and 1.63 GAA with the Boston College Eagles this season.

A third round pick of the Canadiens in 2023, Fowler has amassed some of the best NCAA numbers for a goaltender in recent memory, finishing his two year college career with a remarkable 57-13-3 record, .932 SP and 1.90 GAA with 10 shutouts.

The 20-year-old backstopped Team USA to a gold medal at the 2024 World Junior Championship. He led the Eagles to a Hockey East Championship and was named to the Hockey East and NCAA East First All-American Team as a freshman.

A native of Melbourne, Fla., Fowler captured the USHL's Clark Cup in 2023, leading the league in save percentage and goals against average before being named to the First All-Star Team, Goaltender of the Year, and Clark Cup MVP.

Fowler looks to continue his winning ways with Laval as they seem poised to enter the Calder Cup Playoffs with a bye as they lead the North Division by five points.
