Report: Houston junior Milos Uzan to test 2025 NBA draft after run to title game

Houston junior Milos Uzan will reportedly declare for the 2025 NBA draft while maintaining his remaining college eligibility, according to Jonathan Givony of ESPN.

Uzan was named to the All-Big 12 second team, averaging 11.4 points, 4.3 assists and 3.1 rebounds on 42.8% shooting from 3-point range. He was tied for the most games (40) and ranked 19th in the country in minutes (1,261), and was third in the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.0).

The 6-foot-4 guard scored in double figures 25 times, including a career-high 25 points, four rebounds and four assists on March 15 in a win over Arizona in the Big 12 championship game.

Uzan is considered a potential second-round pick this year, with his ability to score and run offenses. He established himself as a tremendous passer and playmaker for the Cougars, posting 24 games with one or fewer turnovers this past season.

The 22-year-old played an integral role in Houston advancing to the national championship game for the third time in program history. They ultimately came up just short against Florida from making Kelvin Sampson the oldest coach in history to win a title (69).

Uzan will be able to gauge his draft stock in team workouts and the combine on May 11-18 in Chicago, Illinois. He plans on returning to Houston next season should he opt to withdraw his name from the draft consideration by May 28.

The 2025 NBA draft will occur June 25-26 in New York City.
