Report: Colts hosting experienced OT prospect on pre-draft 30 visit
The Indianapolis Colts are reportedly hosting Oklahoma State offensive tackle Dalton Cooper for a 30 visit, according to Aaron Wilson.
Each draft cycle, every team is able to have up to 30 prospects in for visits at the team facility. It's an opportunity for teams to do medical checks if needed, walk through film, and get to know the player.
Cooper is listed at 6-7 - 315 pounds and is a very experienced player, with nearly 3,900 career snaps on offense over six college seasons. His first four seasons were played at Texas State and the last two at Oklahoma State.
Just about all of Cooper's snaps have come at left tackle. This past season, Cooper appeared in only nine games but was extremely effective in pass protection, allowing no sacks and six pressures over 285 pass-blocking snaps. Out of qualified tackles, Cooper ranked 13th in pass-blocking efficiency.
For what it's worth, throughout his career, Cooper has graded out much better in pass protection than as a run-blocker by PFF's metrics.
Dalton Cooper is a OT prospect in the 2025 draft class. He scored an unofficial 9.01 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 142 out of 1420 OT from 1987 to 2025.

The tackle position is one where the Colts have to bolster their depth in the NFL draft. With Matt Goncalves presumably moving to right guard with Will Fries in Minnesota, that swing tackle role off the bench is going to be up for grabs this summer and competition should be brought in for Blake Freeland.
