When Real Madrid took on Real Sociedad in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinal last month, both sides fought blow for blow despite Carlo Ancelotti fielding a heavily rotated team.
Los Blancos eventually came away with a one goal lead on aggregate in a game that could quite easily settled in either direction, and thus handed themselves a boost for the all-important second leg.
Notably, however, the goalscorer for Real Madrid on the night was one of the players who has received the least prominence this season – Endrick. Given his productive output in the first leg, there was a significant conversation over him potentially starting tonight.

As relayed in a recent update by MARCA, Endrick is set to start later tonight in Real Madrid’s second-leg clash against La Real.
The player, after all, has been having a phenomenal run in this season’s Spanish Cup and has been a pioneering force pushing Real Madrid through round after round.
His goalscoring streak in the competition began against Celta Vigo in the Round of 16 when he scored an important brace in the team’s 5-2 win.
Endrick then started and completed 82 minutes for Real Madrid against Leganes in the quarterfinal and scored the team’s second goal on the night as well.
Most recently, the 18-year-old Brazilian sensation scored against Real Sociedad and is now just one goal off the top-scorer in the competition – Julian Alvarez.
Given Endrick’s history of making the most of his chances however rare they come, one can expect the youngster to step up later tonight in the decisive leg of the semifinal.
With news of his starting almost confirmed, it remains to be seen if Ancelotti plans to rest Kylian Mbappe on the night. After all, Vinicius Jr was rested in the last game and will start.
