Real Madrid likely to undergo major tactical changes with Ancelotti’s position in doubt
It is no secret that Carlo Ancelotti’s future at Real Madrid remains uncertain despite his strong performance as the team’s manager.
While the club acknowledges and appreciates the work he has done, there is no guarantee that he will continue beyond this season.
In fact, according to a report from SPORT, Real Madrid could consider replacing him with a new coach, which would inevitably bring changes to the squad’s tactical setup and overall preparation.
At the moment, Ancelotti has the team in a competitive position across all three major tournaments they are participating in. However, he is well aware that his future depends entirely on delivering trophies.
While his contract extends for another year, it does not necessarily secure his position. If the club does not achieve its desired success, his agreement could become meaningless, leaving the door open for a managerial change.
The uncertainties and potential changes
This uncertainty has made planning for next season a challenging task. If Real Madrid decide to part ways with Ancelotti, they will need to find a suitable replacement, which could lead to significant shifts in player selection and tactical preferences.
The new coach would likely have different ideas about the squad, favouring certain players while potentially sidelining others.
However, any incoming manager will have to work with the existing squad, as club president Florentino Perez has always maintained a strict policy regarding recruitment.
Additionally, if a managerial change does take place, the new coach is expected to request reinforcements in specific positions to implement his tactical vision effectively.
The extent of these changes will largely depend on who is chosen to take over the role. For now, the situation remains open-ended, and Ancelotti’s fate will be decided based on how the team performs in the remainder of the season.
If he continues to win and add silverware to Real Madrid’s collection, his chances of staying increase. If not, the club could be looking at a fresh start under new leadership.
