Ranking the top Springfield Cardinals promotions for the 2025 season at Hammons Field

The only thing better than a summer night at Hammons Field might be a summer night at Hammons Field when receiving free stuff.

Springfield Cardinals baseball is ready to ramp up, and among the great things about Minor League Baseball are the many promotions and giveaways that come with watching the MLB's future stars.

The Cardinals have no shortage of fun nights planned, whether that be weekly fireworks, dogs being allowed at the ballparks, or discounts on food and beverages.

But there are a few special nights with giveaways that many will want to try and be first in line for.

Here are the top five giveaways we think are the best:

5. A Minecraft Movie cap

May 30

Many kiddos are into Minecraft, and the film starring Jason Mamoa and Jack Black just came out, so the Cardinals are looking to capitalize off the video game and movie hype.

Those with these tickets will receive a cap featuring a Minecraft character and a Springfield Cardinals logo. The fireworks after the game will also be Minecraft-themed.

4. José Oquendo bobble-arm giveaway

September 13

Instead of a bobblehead, how about a bobble-arm? Limited edition José Oquendo figurines will be given to the first 2,000 fans. Oquendo was recently elected to the Cardinals Hall of Fame thanks to his many years of service to the organization. He's been part of the organization in some capacity since 1986, either as a player or coach and he now serves as the Cardinals' Minor League Fundamentals Coordinator.

In addition to receiving free stuff, fireworks will take place after the game.

Lots of open seats during the Springfield Cardinals home opener at Hammons Field on Thursday, April 6, 2023.

3. Quinn Mathews bobblehead giveaway

August 16

Mathews is the Cardinals' top pitching prospect in the organization, and he's coming off a season in which he led the Minors in strikeouts. If he turns into something at the pros, there could be a chance the bobblehead could be worth something someday. ...
