2025 Masters field has 96 golfers. Only seven times has there been more golfers at Augusta

There Masters has been played 88 times, and over that nearly nine decades of history, there have only been seven fields larger than the 96 that are currently on the invite list in 2025.

If someone not already in the field wins this week's Valero Texas Open, that'll grow the list to 97 which would tie for fifth-most along with the 2007, 2014 and 2015 Masters Tournaments.

The largest Masters field was 110 in 1962, followed by 103 in 1966 (a field that had an astounding 26 amaters) and 101 in 1957. Those are the only three times the Masters field surpassed 100 golfers.
