NorthWood scored in all but one frame they they batted in, earning a 10-1 win at home to improve to 2-0 on the season. Nate Dutkowski recorded three hits and batted 3-4 at the plate. Connor Reed pitched six innings and allowed four hits and struck out five.
Fairfield 2, Wawasee 1
Drew Beachy, Grady Garber and Avery Christner all recorded two hits for Fairfield in a season-opening win at home against Wawasee. The Warriors open the season 0-1.
Penn 9, Northridge 0
Northridge was held to just three hits at home Thursday evening in a rescheduled game against Penn. The Raiders open the season 1-1.

Concord 11, Fairfield 10

NorthWood 8, Lakeland 3
NorthWood earned a win at home Thursday. The Panthers are now 2-2. Payton Sears and Taryn Marcum both recorded two hits each with Sears and Megan Yoder driving in two runs each.
Elkhart 14, Wawasee 4 (5 innings)
Elkhart paced themselves to a five-inning win over Wawasee. The Lions scored the final 13 runs of the game with a nine-run frame in the third. Wawasee falls to 0-3.
GIRLS TENNIS
Northridge 4, Westview 1
Northridge improved to 2-0 on the season with a win at Westview. All three singles matches went to three sets with Sage Granberg's 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles serving as the highlight. Westview's lone point came in No. 1 doubles when Lanita Mast and Miley Mast joined together for the 6-1, 7-5 win. Westview is now 0-1.
NorthWood 5, Elkhart 0
NorthWood earned its first win of the season Thursday with a sweep of Elkhart. The closest match occured at No. 2 doubles where the team of Hannah Yoder and Eden Wiggins won 5-7, 6-2, 6-0.
Tippecanoe Valley 4, Bethany Christian 1
Bethany Christian fell to 0-1 on the season with a loss to Tippy Valley. The Bruins won at No. 1 doubles. Cori Chupp and Adrienne Chupp won 6-2, 6-2.
