Prep Roundup: Breedlove leads Austin over Lincoln County

Apr. 5—FLORENCE — Arden Breedlove homered, doubled and drove in four runs as Austin rolled past Lincoln County (Tenn.) 7-1 in a tournament game in Florence on Friday.

Lyndi Perkins had two hits, including a double, and one RBI for the Black Bears, while Zyan Moore added a hit and one RBI.

Callie Lang pitched five strong innings for the win, allowing one run on five hits with one strikeout.

Austin 4, Smyrna (Tenn.) 3: Breedlove had a pair of hits and one RBI to lead Austin on Friday.

Lang doubled and drove in a run for the Black Bears, while Grace Lamb added a hit and one RBI. Lang pitched two innings of hitless relief for the win, walking one while striking out three.

West Morgan 1, Jackson 0: Chasity Rikard tossed a complete-game shutout for West Morgan on Friday, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out five over five innings of work.

Lydia Hughes had one hit for the Rebels and Adi Grace Rodgers scored one run.

West Blocton 6, West Morgan 4: Rikard doubled and drove in two runs for West Morgan on Friday. Rodgers drove in one run for the Rebels.

Hatton 11, Scottsboro 3: Lexi Kilpatrick went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs for Hatton on Friday.

Brianna Oliver had three hits for the Hornets, while Anna Potter added two hits, including a triple, and one RBI. Oliver pitched five innings for the win, striking out nine.

McCracken County (Ky.) 11, Hatton 2: Morgan Lane singled and drove in a pair of runs for Hatton on Friday.

Clements 7, Falkville 4: Madison Pope and Peyten Burks had a double and two RBIs each for Clements on Friday.

Carly Nave pitched all seven innings to pick up the win for the Colts, allowing one earned run while striking out four. Lexie Henderson had two hits.

Hope McClanahan led Falkville with three doubles, while Kasey Foote added two hits and one RBI.

North Sand Mountain 11, Clements 6: Burks doubled twice and drove in four runs for Clements on Friday.

Lawrence County 15, Falkville 0: Lawrence County scored 10 runs in the third inning of a big win on Friday.

Elizabeth Hagan homered, singled and drove in three runs for the Red Devils, while Laney Kate King added a double and two RBIs. Hagan pitched three shutout innings for the win, allowing two hits with four strikeouts.

McClanahan had a double for Falkville.

Lawrence County 5, Coffee County Central (Tenn.) 0: Ava Templeton tripled and drove in three runs for Lawrence County on Friday.

Bella Cross pitched six shutout innings for the win, allowing four hits and two walks with four strikeouts.

West Limestone 2, East Hamilton (Tenn.) 1: JuliAnn Kyle was strong in the circle and at the plate on Friday to lead West Limestone to a win.

Kyle pitched six innings to earn the victory, allowing one unearned run on three hits with five strikeouts. She finished 2-for-2 at the plate with a double, driving in both West Limestone runs.

East Hamilton (Tenn.) 11, Ardmore 6: Addison Mikel led Ardmore with a double and two RBIs on Friday. Payton Pennington had two hits and one RBI for the Tigers.

South Warren (Ky.) 11, Ardmore 1: Makenna Hall hit a solo homer to account for Ardmore's lone run on Friday. Mikel added a single for the Tigers, who were outhit 12-2 in the loss.

Athens Bible School 14, Asbury 3: Addyson Butler went 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs and six RBIs for Athens Bible on Friday.

Kaylee Carter homered, doubled and drove in two runs for the Trojans, while Hannah Robison added a double and two RBIs. Brooke Blakely drove in two runs and Harper Mims pitched 2 1/3 innings for the win, striking out four.
