With mock draft season being in full swing, mock draft simulators are a part of that.
Fans, analysts and even GMs run through the drills and make picks for the teams they represent when on the clock. Some include trade-ups while others include move backs for more draft compensation.
Pro Football Focus' mock draft simulator has been considered the popular option in use. It's garnered enough data to see which players remain favorites to land on certain teams among fan selections, showing who those who support the franchise want to see don the home colors in 2025.
PFF recently shared what player is most often selected in the simulator for all 32 teams. For the Houston Texans, the player selected most often by users is Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant.
"Grant is a rare blend of size and athleticism, displaying exceptional quickness for a player of his stature," PFF wrote. "He reacts quickly to counters, keeps his hands active in passing lanes, and has the movement skills to be a disruptive interior force."

While defensive tackle isn't the top need, it remains a position that could be addressed at some during draft weekend. A captain on a defending national champion was the anchor of the front seven in 2024, opposite potential first-round pick Mason Graham. In 12 games, he totaled seven tackles for loss and three sacks.
While the Texans need offensive line help, Grant does fit the profile of what Nick Caserio loves in his Day 1. He is a big, athletic defensive tackle from a championship-winning program. Albeit he's never been an elite pass-rushing specialist, Grant provides great run-dending upside.
Grant is projected anywhere from the middle of the first round to the early stages of Round 2. Is he worth the No. 25 overall pick? Perhaps that's too rich based on other immediate needs, but in a trade-back option, that would make sense if the top offensive linemen were all off the board.
The Texans have seven picks in next month's draft, including four in the top 100.
