Notre Dame loses another player to the transfer portal

Notre Dame is losing another player to the transfer portal.

Forward Kylee Watson is leaving the Fighting Irish, meaning Notre Dame presently has just four returning scholarship players for next season. The Irish will certainly add transfers.

Watson, who averaged 6.2 points per game, 5 rebounds per game, and 1.3 assists per game, posted a heartfelt goodbye note to her X, formerly known as Twitter, account on Thursday.

She praised the Irish program and said the decision to play her final year of college basketball elsewhere was about embracing change.

Watson will graduate from Notre Dame with a degree this spring. Her departure follows the shocking news that star guard Olivia Miles would forego the WNBA to explore the transfer portal.
