NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Goalie Pickups and Expected Starters April 9 - Roll with the Flower in His Final Home Start

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.

Five games on Wednesday, April 9

* = confirmed

Joseph Woll, TOR @ Andrei Vasilevskiy, TB (7 p.m. ET)

Samuel Ersson, PHI @ Igor Shesterkin, NYR (7:30 p.m. ET)

Alexandar Georgiev, SJ @ Marc-Andre Fleury, MIN (8 p.m. ET)

Jordan Binnington, STL @ Stuart Skinner, EDM (10 p.m. ET)

Dustin Wolf, CGY @ Lukas Dostal, ANA (10 p.m. ET)

Samuel Ersson, PHI @ NYR (15% rostered)
Ersson has struggled down the stretch, with a 2-4-1 record, 4.12 goals-against average (GAA) and .840 save percentage over his last seven appearances. That slump has Ersson sitting two wins shy of the 23 he posted as a rookie last season. If there is good news. Ersson and the Flyers face a Rangers team that has checked out while Philly has been somewhat rejuvenated on the ice following the firing of John Tortorella and installment of Brad Shaw as the interim head coach. Montreal has all but clinched a playoff spot, which might mean that a team already with questionable effort could check out even more, enabling Ersson to notch a win.

Marc-Andre Fleury, MIN vs. SJ (15% rostered)
The Flower is making what should be the final regular season home start of his career with his final game overall Saturday against Vancouver. His playing time has dried up significantly the last two weeks with the Wild aiming to clinch a playoff berth with just two starts - both losses - in that span. Fleury is down to 12-9-1 with a 2.78 GAA and a .903 save percentage over 23 appearances. He will be pumped for this outing, as will the Minnesota fans, which could provide an additional boost to MAF's win percentage chances.

Lukas Dostal, ANA vs. CGY (40% rostered)
Dostal has been very up-and-down during this current stretch, but comes into this contest having made a season-high 45 saves to defeat Edmonton, 3-2 on Monday. With the victory, Dostal is 3-2-0 with a 3.52 GAA and an .885 save percentage in his last six games played. Dostal has assumed the role of the Ducks' top netminder, showing flashes.of why Anaheim is so high on the young goalie. He is 23-21-6 with a 3.05 GAA and .905 save percentage, taking over between the pipes from John Gibson, who likely will be shopped this offseason. Calgary has one game in hand on Minnesota, who also plays Wednesday, and if the Wild lose, the Flames could close to two points of the second Wild Card with a win, making Dostal's chances at a win take a hit.
