As head coach John Harbaugh eloquently stated on Monday, the Ravens have the roster to line up and win games if the season started today. Still, the second wave of free agency and the NFL draft offer Baltimore an opportunity to add more elite depth and talent to the roster.
PFF recently looked at the perfect early- and late-round options for the Ravens' most significant off-season need, and offensive guard is that position of need.
Day 1 option: Tyler Booker, AlabamaDay 3 option: Marcus Wehr, Montana StateThe Ravens want to run the ball effectively, and the 6-foot-5, 321-pound Tyler Booker would help them do just that. He also brings value in pass protection, as he just put up an 86.5 pass-blocking grade in 2024.
For a later-round option, Marcus Wehr could be a fit. While he’s not a household name, Wehr was one of the top run-blockers in the FCS over the past two seasons, and his 88.8 run-blocking grade in 2024 led all FCS guards.
Wehr started his career at Montana State as a defensive lineman before making the switch to the offensive line in 2022. In his first season,, he started five games before suffering a season-ending injury. The following season, Wehr started 11 games at right tackle and one game at right guard. This past season, Wehr started all 16 games at right guard for Montana State. He's one of the best offensive linemen in the FCS, based on his accolades (All-America first team, unanimous All-Big Sky Conference first team)
In 2023, Booker surrendered just four pressures and one sack over 13 starts at left guard.
Booker and Andrew Vorhees would give Baltimore two young, athletic offensive guards for the future while solidifying the offensive line for years to come outside of the left tackle spot currently manned by Ronnie Stanley.
