NFL draft: Browns WR target Isaiah Bond faces grim allegations

Days before the 2025 NFL draft, a sexual assault warrant has cast a dark shadow over a player the Cleveland Browns have spent considerable time with: Texas standout Isaiah Bond.

Per Ian Rapoport, NFL draft prospect and former Texas Longhorns wide receiver Isaiah Bond surrendered to Frisco, Texas police on Thursday, April 10th, following an outstanding warrant for sexual assault. Isaiah posted bond and was released the same day.

The young prospect addressed the accusation through a statement put out on social media. He stated, “Regarding the accusation made against me, I would appreciate the time and opportunity to defend myself and prove the claims made, patently false. I am in full cooperation with the authorities and will remain a willing and active participant in the investigation. Unfortunately, claims like these prove to be harmful to all involved, absent a full review. I kindly request that all reserve judgment until the authorities provide a complete report based on truth and evidence.”

Disturbing rumors from sources close to the Texas program suggest a pattern of concerning behavior towards women during Bond's college years, allegedly prompting team staff to limit his interactions with female staff members.

The Cleveland Browns have shown notable interest in Bond, holding a formal meeting at the Scouting Combine and a recent Top 30 visit. It remains uncertain whether the team intends to draft him or was simply conducting due diligence. Based on the Browns’ recent firsthand experience with another player and his serial predation of women, Bond is likely not on Andrew Berry’s draft board after these events.
