New York Giants hold local pro day: Tracking the attendees

The New York Giants held their local pro day at their facility in East Rutherford on Thursday. The event is geared for local draft hopefuls from the New York Metropolitan Area to show off their wares to the Giants' coaches and scouts.

Local Big Ten member Rutgers brought a sizable contingent to the event as usual.

Other players in attendance: Edge rushers Amin Vanover of Penn State and Brian Ugwu of Miami (OH).

Per USA TODAY's Art Stapleton, Vanover "is a Newark native + played at St. Joe's-Montvale, or as we used to call the place Karcich College or McCourty University. Worked in rotation behind Abdul Carter in 2024."

Ugwu is a "Hillside NJ native began his college career at Rutgers and transferred to Miami, where he racked up 20.5 sacks in three seasons," notes Stapleton.
