The Brooklyn Nets have only a few games left in their 2024-25 NBA season as they seek to end the campaign on a strong note heading into a pivotal offseason. Brooklyn will be entering this offseason wondering what players they will be taking in the 2025 NBA Draft, but a couple of Nets were able to watch some players expected to be eligible for the 2026 edition.

The 2025 McDonald's Boys All-American Game was held on Tuesday at Barclays Center and Nets forwards Trendon Watford and Noah Clowney were in attendance for the festivities. The headliners for the high school All-Star Game were AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, and Cameron Boozer, three players that the Nets may be able to choose from next year.

Peterson, who will be playing at Kansas, Nets forward Jalen Wilson's alma mater, next season was the co-MVP of the game as he put up 18 points and five rebounds while Cameron Boozer, who shared MVP honors with Peterson, dropped 16 points and 12 rebounds of his own. As of this writing, Dybantsa, Peterson, and Boozer are expected to be the first three players selected in the 2026 NBA Draft, showing how impressive they have been to this point in their young careers.

For Watford and Clowney, it looks like they spent their off day watching some of the players that could be in the NBA two years from now, possibly as their teammate if things break right for Brooklyn. It's still really early to be thinking about the 2026 draft class, but ESPN recently created a mock draft for that year, placing the Nets with the sixth overall pick, meaning that they would unfortunately miss out on the aforementioned Dybantsa, Peterson, and Boozer.

However, it is notable that Watford and Clowney took the time to watch some of the stars of tomorrow given that they were able to find their way to the league despite not being McDonald's All-Americans themselves. Clowney is currently sidelined with a right ankle sprain, but Watford will next take the floor on Thursday as Brooklyn faces Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves at Barclays Center.
