No. 1 LSU and No. 5 UCLA are among the women’s gymnastics teams competing Saturday for a spot in the NCAA championships.
Olympic gold medalist Jordan Chiles leads the Bruins, who will compete in the Utah regional final along with No. 4 Utah, No. 10 Minnesota and No. 18 Denver.
Senior Aleah Finnegan and freshman Kailin Chio lead LSU, who advance to the Penn State regional final along with No. 8 Michigan State, No. 9 Kentucky and No. 16 Arkansas. LSU won the school’s first national title last season in the sport, and Finnegan is the reigning NCAA floor national champion.
The top two teams from each of the four regional finals will advance to the NCAA Championships beginning April 17 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Regional finals continue Sunday in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Seattle. Here's a look at the bracket.
Top all-around competitors and event specialists on each event (who are not on an advancing team) from each regional will also advance to the national championships.

LSU's Kailin Choi, this year’s SEC freshman of the year, had a strong debut at her first regionals. She claimed a share of the floor (9.925) and all-around titles (39.625), along with teammate Aleah Finnegan. Finnegan also claimed a share of the beam title (9.950).
