Vikings attached to several wide receivers as late round targets in 2025 NFL Draft

The Minnesota Vikings have one of the league's best 1-2 punches with Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. However, after the departures of Trent Sherfield and Brandon Powell, they could use more depth in the position.

On Thursday, Alec Lewis of The Athleticwrote about ten potential draft targets the Vikings could look to add after the first round. He included three receivers, possibly telling us he has heard rumblings about the Vikings being interested in drafting a wideout.

Kyle Williams, Washington State

Williams is 5'11", 190 pounds, and is ranked 160th on PFF's Big Board. Said Lewis:

Williams is an unheralded prospect who does what McCardell most wants his receivers to do: separate. Williams can release off the line of scrimmage and win at all three levels. He also has experience returning kicks.

Jimmy Horn, Jr., Colorado

Horn is even smaller than Williams, standing 5'8" and 174 pounds. He also offers experience in punt returning and is ranked 233rd on PFF's Big Board.

Horn began his collegiate career at South Florida, then transferred to Boulder to play for Deion Sanders. He caught 95 passes for 1,008 yards over the last two seasons. And unlike Williams, he has returned punts in addition to his experience as a kick returner.

Tai Felton, Maryland

Felton is 6'1", 183 pounds, and is PFF's 192nd-ranked prospect.

McCardell monitored Felton at Maryland’s pro day. Felton fits the Vikings’ mold: long-levered, sudden and reliable at the catch point. In 2024, he caught 96 passes for 1,124 yards and nine touchdowns.

All these guys are projected to be Day 3 picks at best, with Horn possibly going undrafted. But he could be an undrafted free agent target. Jalen Nailor could be playing elsewhere in 2026, so even if the Vikings were to draft one of these players and get minimal production initially, they could step into a bigger role in Year 2.
