Ignited by a no-hitter from Dakota Lyons in the circle, the Tigers needed just three-and-a-half innings to dispatch of the Cardinals 15-0 on Monday night in a non-league contest at home.

Lyons fired nine strikeouts and allowed just one walk during a downpour. Napavine (3-1-1) head coach Josh Fay was more than pleased with how Lyons threw. She fired 36 of her 50 pitches for strikes.

"She's done a good job," Fay said. "Been focused on putting her in good positions; she attacked the zone."

After a scoreless first inning, the Tigers broke the ice with five runs in the second followed by a 10-run third. Their bottom three in the lineup sparked them with Clara Fay anchoring the lower-third by going 3-for-3 and four runs batted in. Hayden Kaut roped a double and notched two RBIs plus stole three bases while Taylen Evander recorded two hits.

Winlock will play Kelso and Napavine takes on Castle Rock, both on the road on Tuesday.
