Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has signed a fresh contract extension with the club.

Salah was set to become one of three senior players out of contract at Anfield this summer alongside teammates Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

But the Egypt captain has now agreed new terms that will keep him with Arne Slot's side until the summer of 2027.

"I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football," said Salah.

鈥淚t鈥檚 great, I had my best years here. I played eight years, hopefully it鈥檚 going to be 10. Enjoying my life here, enjoying my football. I had the best years in my career.

鈥淚 would like to say to [the fans], I am very, very happy to be here. I signed here because I believe we can win a lot of big trophies together."

Salah has been part of a Liverpool team that is currently 11 points clear in the Premier League title race with seven games of this season remaining.
