Liverpool have announced that Mohamed Salah has signed a new contract with the club, ending speculation over his future.
Salah’s previous deal was due to expire at the end of the current campaign but the Egyptian has put pen to paper on new terms. The length of the deal has not been specified, though it is reported to be a new two-year agreement, extending his eight seasons at Anfield to a decade.

Salah has been the Premier League’s standout player this season and leads the division for both goals and assists. He has scored 32 goals in all competitions and provided a further 22 assists in just 45 appearances.
In addition to Liverpool’s 11-point lead in the title race, Salah is closing in on a record-equalling fourth Premier League Golden Boot and second Playmaker Award. He has 17 league assists, just three short of the divisional record with seven games to go.
Salah eyeing more big trophies after signing new Liverpool deal
Reflecting on his decision to stay, Salah said Liverpool are well positioned to win trophies in the coming seasons and that he is happy to commit his best years to Liverpool.
“Of course I’m very excited. We have a great team now. Before also we had a great team. But I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football,” he told the club’s official website.
“It’s great, I had my best years here. I played eight years, hopefully it’s going to be 10. Enjoying my life here, enjoying my football. I had the best years in my career.
“I would like to say to [the fans], I am very, very happy to be here. I signed here because I believe we can win a lot of big trophies together. Keep supporting us and we’ll give it our best, and hopefully in the future we’re going to win more trophies.”
