MN: Marseille likely to complete Bennacer purchase with or without De Zerbi
Roberto De Zerbi has heavily praised Ismael Bennacer since the Algerian moved to France, and it seems that the AC Milan midfielder will leave permanently, regardless of the Italian’s future.
The Bennacer saga went on a lot longer than many expected it to, and after the possibilities of an exit in the summer, the Algerian midfielder got injured in the very early stages of the season, which left him considering things.
As January arrived, there were whispers about the potential of a move, but nothing came to fruition until the final days, where reports suggested that the midfielder had annoyed the club by requesting to leave, forcing them to bring in a replacement.
Since then, Bennacer has become a staple in the Marseille team, and De Zerbi has regularly praised his winter move, though the question about the longer-term future still remains.
According to Milan News though, the midfielder will likely remain in France with the club convinced about the midfielder.
Questions are in place about De Zerbi’s future, and if he were to remain at the Velodrome, then there would be no decision to be made, the Algerian’s stay would be taken for granted. If he were to depart though, it is noted that there could be a slight period of reflection, though the same decision would probably arrive.
