Michigan State hockey has suffered a pretty big blow to the transfer portal on Monday, albeit, a move that may benefit both parties in the long run.
Backup goaltender Luca Di Pasquo has made the decision to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. Di Pasquo played in seven games during the 2024-25 campaign.
It was long believed that Di Pasquo, who came into MSU with star goaltender Trey Augustine, was going to be Augustine's successor between the pipes, but that now will not be the case. There is speculation that this could mean that Augustine will be returning to East Lansing for his junior year.
In his two years at MSU, Di Pasquo finishes his career playing in 11 games, putting together a 9-1-1 record to go along with a low .900s save percentage.
Spartan fans will wish the Livonia, Michigan, native their best at his next stop in his collegiate career.

Di Pasquo went 7-0 in seven starts this season, mostly in place of Trey Augustine while he was at World Juniors.
