Michigan State falls in Big Ten Tournament semis, 77-74, to Wisconsin
Michigan State basketball's run in the Big ten Tournament is officially over. The Spartans have fallen to the Wisconsin Badgers, 77-74, in the Big Ten Tournament semifinal on Saturday.
A back and forth game between the Spartans and Badgers was reminiscent of what the two schools have done against one another for almost three decades.
Jase Richardson showed out, once again, with 21 points. Jeremy Fears added 14 points, while Tre Holloman had 10 points. It ultimately was not enough, though, as John Tonje's 30 points led the Badgers past the Spartans.
This ends the Spartans run in Indianapolis, but March is far from over, and the season that really matters will begin next weekend in the NCAA Tournament. The Spartans will learn their fate and draw in the NCAA Tournament during the selection show tomorrow night.
