Marseille predicted XI v Monaco: Leonardo Balerdi out, Neal Maupay to start

Leonardo Balerdi is the only injury absence for Olympique de Marseille as they head down the coast to face Mediterranean rivals AS Monaco on Saturday afternoon.

However, it is likely to be a makeshift defence that lines up against Les Monégasques. Derek Cornelius has not convinced and is likely to be dropped. L’Équipe understands that Luiz Felipe, who has struggled with form and fitness since his move in the winter, is also not expected to start. Left-back by trade, Ulisses García may start in the back three alongside Geoffrey Kondogbia and Michael Murillo.

Up front for Marseille, Neal Maupay may start in place of Algeria international Amine Gouiri, who after a strong start following his January move from Stade Rennais, has dropped off.

Marseille likely line-up v Monaco

Geronimo Rulli; Ulisses Garcia, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Michael Murillo; Quentin Merlin, Valentin Rongier, Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg, Luis Henrique; Adrien Rabiot, Neal Maupay, Mason Greenwood. (L’Éq)
