March Madness: Texas A&M fans react to NCAA Tournament loss against Michigan
Texas A&M men's basketball fell in the second half of their Round of 32 game against the Michigan Wolverines 91-79.
The Aggies battled the Wolverines who charged back with an 11-3 run in the second half to cut a 10-point deficit. The Wolverines had control once they took the lead thanks to the explosive performance of guard Roddy Gayle Jr. and stronger free throw shooting between the two teams. Gayle had a game-high 26 points on 7-for-14 shooting from the field and 8-for-8 shooting from the free throw line.
This was the last game for the eight seniors of head coach Buzz Williams' squad, which missed out on going to the Sweet Sixteen and playing the winner of Auburn and Creighton.
With the season over, Aggies fans took to X to express their frustration and appreciation for the team. Here is what they said:
These refs are wusses and have completely eliminated physicality from this basketball game. In doing so, have stripped the Aggies of their entire team identity.

I will not be sworn, but I think the Aggies have fewer than zero rebounds in the second half. Nobody even jumps. Really bizarre to watch as they just stand there and look up at the Wolverine grabbing the ball over and over. #GigEmpic.twitter.com/kukj0q6hlR

Such a sad way for Wade Taylor to go out #GigEm
