March Madness: Texas fans full of emotion after 2OT win over Texas A&M in SEC tournament
Texas basketball improved its chances of making it to the NCAA Tournament after a 94-89 double overtime win over No. 5 seed Texas A&M.
The Longhorns went 2-1 this season over their rivals from College Station, losing the first gameand winning the second thanks to a last second shot after crushing a 22-point deficit.
After two full days of wire-to-wire games, the Longhorns will have another regular season rematch with No. 4 Tennessee; Texas lost the first game 74-70 in Austin.
Texas was listed as one of the "first four out" for the NCAA tournament, according to ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi. But Texas has two Quad 1 wins in the SEC tournament, improving its chances of getting off the bubble and replacing Indiana as the “last in,” per the game broadcast.
With Texas exceeding expectations in the SEC tournament, fans took to X to share their excitement and claim that the Longhorns are the real UT.
