Lincoln Riley discusses USC offseason additions on the front lines

It has been a very busy offseason for USC football. In addition to their surge on the recruiting trail, the Trojans have been very active in the transfer portal in an effort to upgrade their roster ahead of the 2025 season.

One of the areas where the Trojans were the most active was along the lines of scrimmage. After losing the majority of their 2024 production at both offensive and defensive line, USC went out and added several key additions on both sides of the ball.

Following Tuesday's practice, head coach Lincoln Riley discussed the Trojans' offseason additions along the lines of scrimmage.

"It's a real battle at the line of scrimmage," Riley said. "It's like not two featherweights going at it, you know. This is like two big cats in the ring that you kind of feel, you know youfeel the punches of each one of them.

"It's not just one guy here or there . . . we can roll multiple groups in there and you continue to feel the same thing."

USC fans are hoping that the transfer additions will make an immediate impact, and that the Trojans will be significantly improved along the lines of scrimmage in 2025. However, the roster is not set in stone yet—expect USC to be very active in the transfer portal once again in the spring window.
