No. 1 Tennessee (28-2, 9-1 SEC) opened its fourth SEC baseball series in 2025 on Friday. The Vols defeated Texas A&M (14-15, 1-9 SEC), 10-0 in seven innings, at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
Tennessee recorded its second combined no-hitter of the season. Texas A&M had 21 batters in the run-rule contest.
Liam Doyle started for Tennessee and pitched six innings. He recorded eight strikeouts, while allowing two walks and zero hits. Doyle totaled 96 pitches, including 58 strikes, against 22 batters.
Dylan Loy pitched the final inning in relief for the Vols. He totaled 12 pitches (eight strikes) against three batters. Texas A&M hit two ground outs and one fly out against Loy.
Tennessee also pitched a combined no-hitter on March 7 against St. Bonaventure. Doyle also started in the Vols' first combined no-hitter this season. He pitched 5.2 innings, recording 13 strikeouts and allowed two walks. Doyle totaled 104 strikes, including 72 strikes, against 19 batters.
Before Tennessee's no-hitter on March 7, the Vols' last no-hitter was by Jeffery Terrell on Feb. 15, 2002 against Bowling Green.
