Led by 18 points from All-American Madison Booker and 13 points from Rori Harmon, the Texas Longhorns women's basketball team held off a feisty TCU Horned Frog squad, 58-47, to punch their ticket to the Final Four. This will be the first trip to the Final Four in 22 years for the Lady Longhorns.
Booker and Harmon had the big games, but UT got huge contributions all over the court, especially from Kyla Oldacre, who had nine points off the bench. Hailey Van Lith led TCU with 17 points.
The win was especially sweet for Harmon, who tore her ACL last season and has endured a long and painful road back. She had to watch last season as Texas was beaten in the Elite Eight by NC State. This year, Harmon has been the point guard engine that makes UT go on offense and defense.
"I just think about going through my recover and coming back after 10 months," Harmon said after the game. "I'm so proud of myself and proud of my team for this moment." Booker added, "Rori Harmon is still that girl, please don't doubt here."
Texas took the lead early and stretched the advantage to as much as nine points in the first half. But the Frogs cut the UT lead to just two points, 23-21, at halftime.
TCU tied the game with just over five minutes left in the third quarter. But the Longhorns went on a 13-4 run to end the quarter and take control of the game. TCU was able to cut the lead to six with just over two miniutes to play. But the Lady Longhorns executed down the stretch for the 11 point victory and a trip to the Final Four.

Texas is trying to win its second national championship in women's basketball. The Lady Longhorns went undefeated in 1986 under legendary coach Jody Conradt.
Texas will face South Carolina in the national semifinal. The co-SEC regular season champions have played three times so far this season, with the Gamecocks winning two out of the three. The Final Four is in Tampa, FL.
