Mar. 30—KIMBALL, S.D. — Two Kimball/White Lakes boys athletes signed to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level last week.
Iden Myers signed to play running back at Concordia (Neb.) and Daniel Leiferman signed his letter of intent to run cross country at in-state side Northern State.
Myers finished with one of the most disguised football careers in Wildkat history. He finished his career with a school-record 3,641 yards on the ground. Last season alone, he finished with 1,530 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also earned a Class 9AA all-state nod at running back. Defensively, he finished his career as the school's leading tackler (252) and picked off 13 interceptions.
Leiferman had his best cross country campaign for the Wilkdkats during his senior season last year. He was one of four Kimball/White Lake boys runners to qualify for the Class B state meet, coming in 34th (18:45.05). He finished in 11th place at the Region 3B meet this past season as well.
