Kaua Santos has been in goal for Eintracht Frankfurt's last three games while Kevin Trapp has been sidelined with a shin injury.
And as Eintracht Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmöller announced on Thursday, the Brazilian goalkeeper will continue in goal against Werder Bremen on Saturday.
"Kevin Trapp has been able to partially return to training, but he still feels that his shin is causing him some problems. It only makes sense for him to play when he is 100 percent. Kaua Santos will therefore be in goal in Bremen," said Toppmöller.
Ansgar Knauff will miss the Bremen game due to the injury he picked up against Stuttgart last week, but the winger could return for the Europa League clash with Tottenham in a week's time.
“Things are looking very good for Knauff, although not for Saturday, but he has been lucky and will probably be back in London,” said Toppmöller, who also ruled Can Uzun (llness) and Elye Wahi (knee) out of this weekend's game.
Timothy Chandler (thigh) and Igor Matanovic (foot) remain sidelined as well.
