Since the Texas Longhorns Pro Day, Jaydon Blue has been a popular name. The former Longhorns running back put on a show that did not go unnoticed. After running an impressive 40-yard dash, the Denver Broncos have scheduled a top-30 visit with the Houston native.聽
In three years at Texas,聽Blue聽recorded 1,161 yards on 214 carries. He also found the end zone 11 times and was a threat in the passing game. While the Houston native was a reliable player during his entire tenure, his breakout campaign came last year.
During the 2024 campaign, he took his game to another level. He set career highs in rushing yards with 730, carries with 134, and touchdowns with eight. His last season with the Longhorns also included a career-high 368 receiving yards. As Texas dealt with injuries during the year, Blue became vital to the offense.聽

If the Broncos drafted Blue, he could fit Sean Payton's system well. His schemes usually allow running backs to get into open space. Blue thrived in that area at Texas when he showed that he could be a threat on the ground and through the air. There is also a chance he would get to play alongside one of his teammates.
During the draft process, the Broncos have been connected to Gunnar Helm. Like Blue, he is coming off the best year of his college career. The former Longhorns tight end is considered one of the best players at his position. He would get to play for his hometown team if drafted by Denver. While a lot can change over the next few months, Blue has impressed many in the Broncos organization. If he is still around in the later rounds, he could be a valuable addition to an offense full of young talent led by Bo Nix.聽
