Jaguars not among teams eligible for 'Hard Knocks: Training Camp' 2025

With some changes made to HBO's 'Hard Knocks: Training Camp' eligibility requirements, are the Jacksonville Jaguars among the teams who could be on this summer's 2025 edition of the show?

In previous years, teams that made the playoffs were not eligible to be on 'Hard Knocks: Training Camp.' However, recently that rule has been taken off the table. No matter how a team finished the season prior, record-wise or postseason-wise, they could be featured on the show the following training camp.

This rule change has significantly expanded the number of teams that could potentially be a part of the program. According to Sports Illustrated, there are 20 teams this offseason who meet the criteria to be featured.

However, the Jaguars are not one of them.

The big reason is that they have a first-year head coach, and those teams are expected to be on 'Hard Knocks: Training Camp.'

Here is a look at the other criteria for teams who can't be forced to be on the show:

— Teams with a first-year head coach

— Teams featured in that season’s in-season edition (covering a full division)

— Teams on 'Hard Knocks: Training Camp' in the last eight seasons (2017-2024)

With a first-year head coach in Liam Coen, the Jaguars also get a head start on their offseason programs, which for Jacksonville, are officially underway on April 8th. For the complete offseason schedule, you can find it here.
