Stats to know

Norman-Lott played 976 career snaps over five college seasons, the final two of which came at Tennessee. Norman-Lott played 235 snaps as a rotational defender in 2023 and 225 snaps in 2024.

This past season was Norman-Lott's most productive as a pass rusher, with him totaling 27 pressures and five sacks. Although compared to some interior defenders, Norman-Lott didn't have nearly as many opportunities, he made the most of the ones he had and ranked first among all tackles in PFF's pass rush productivity metric.

In 2023, Norman-Lott was one of PFF's better graded interior run defenders, and still graded out relatively well in that regard this past year.

Fit with the Jacksonville Jaguars

Earlier this offseason, GM James Gladstone said that he wanted to prioritize adding to the defensive line. After not doing so in free agency, presumably, we are going to see the Jaguars make multiple additions to this position during the NFL draft.

As head coach Liam Coen mentioned recently, the Jaguars do have a strong foundation up front, but improved depth is needed. Last season, the Jaguars' defensive front as a unit ranked 32nd in ESPN's pass rush win rate metric and 27th in run stop rate.

When it comes to Norman-Lott's impact within this Jaguars defense, his greatest impact may come as a rotational defender during more obvious passing situations, where he can pin his ears back and get after the quarterback.

NFL draft profile

For more on Norman-Lott, here is what NFL.com's Lance Zierlein wrote in his scouting report:

"Norman-Lott is an undersized interior defender who will need to specialize in penetration and havoc creation in a one-gapping scheme. He has plus snap quickness and is talented at reading and beating move blocks. He’s a rangy run defender with a full tank of gas but will struggle against downhill rushing attacks aimed at him. Norman-Lott is an energetic pass rusher with a high pressure rate. He plays with harmonious hands and feet that work to and around edges, but he won’t offer much as a power rusher. His lack of size could hurt his draft slotting, but he has the potential to become a rotational defender and sub-package rusher."
