Rookie Isaiah Collier neared a double-double and set a Utah Jazz franchise record in the process on Monday in a loss against the Charlotte Hornets on the road.
Collier produced 17 points, seven assists, three steals, two rebounds and one blocked shot in the 110-106 loss at the Spectrum Center. He finished by shooting 6-of-11 from the field in 32 minutes as the Jazz finished March with a 1-16 record.
The 29th pick reached 419 assists on the season with the performance, surpassing Hall of Famer John Stockton for most by a rookie in franchise history (1984-85). He is the first rookie to dish out at least 400 assists in a season since Ja Morant (2019-20).

Collier is averaging 8.3 points, 6.2 assists and 3.3 rebounds on 41.9% shooting from the field in 68 games this season with the Jazz. He leads the rookie class in assists and is one of 19 players in the NBA with at least nine point-assist double-doubles.
The 20-year-old was the Western Conference Rookie of the Month in February, becoming the sixth Jazz player to win the award. He was third in the league in assists and was the first rookie to dish out at least 120 total assists in a calendar month since Morant in January 2020.
Collier has emerged as one of the top first-year players this season and looks to be a franchise cornerstone moving forward. He solidified his place in the franchise history books on Monday and should be a strong candidate to earn an All-NBA Rookie Team selection.
