MYRTLE BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA — North Laurel sophomore pitcher Dylan Hurley turned in a solid effort on the mound during the Jaguars’ 12-0 win over Knott County Central.
Hurley tossed a complete game shutout, allowing only three hits and finishing with one strikeout.
The 12-run win allowed North Laurel to even its record at 4-4.
“I thought we played really well in all phases of the game and it started with Dylan Hurley on the mound,” North Laurel coach Darrin McWhorter said. “He pitched really well. We also had some really good at-bats. Cam Smith is hitting the ball really well going 3-for-3, finally got Cooper Elza back from basketball and had two hits. Eli Holt had two hits as well.
